About My Clients
As a counselor, I aim to cultivate a deep, authentic connection that encourages safety, vulnerability, and trust. I know it takes time to build this type of therapeutic relationship and I will follow your lead with the pace that feels safest to you while incorporating gentle encouragement to go deeper when appropriate. Once established, this relationship is the foundation for all of our work together.
My Background and Approach
When clients can feel safe being their authentic selves, transformative changes arise. From here, we will utilize strength-based counseling approaches that incorporate holistic views of yourself and focus on the treatment of you, as a whole person, not just the symptoms. At Root Reliance Counseling I believe that each of us has a core-self and that this Self is an unending source of internal strength that we can all access and rely upon to facilitate healing. I believe that my role in your therapeutic journey is to guide and empower you to tap into this innate source of resiliency by understanding the experiences you have had which led to the development of harmful beliefs or wounds and of your internal and external systems that are currently upholding these painful experiences.
