Being alive in the 21st century is wild. Navigating a complex, relentlessly changing world and overlapping systems of oppression can be a confusing, isolating challenge. You know your struggles and deserve a safe place to explore them with authenticity, empathy, and validation. My warm, genuine, and collaborative approach provides a space to learn more about yourself, address your concerns, and develop self-compassionate coping skills in line with your values.
My Background and Approach
Dealing with trauma, depression, complicated grief, and relationship issues can feel like moving mountains. My lived personal and clinical experience with each and my special interest in C-PTSD/developmental trauma and ADHD (particularly later-in-life diagnosis) can help address dysregulation and guide you towards a life in line with your goals and values. Therapy should feel supportive of your unique needs, so I offer relational, trauma-informed psychotherapy utilizing multiple therapeutic modalities including (but not limited to): existential psychotherapy, relational Gestalt therapy, attachment psychology, feminist theory, parts-work (IFS/Internal Family Systems), strength-based approaches, and trauma-informed/trauma-focused/PTSD and C-PTSD care.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Finding the right therapist can be immensely frustrating, and I appreciate your time! I am personally oriented towards social justice and recognizing the impact of capitalism on relationships. I am a sex-positive, LGBTQ+ affirming therapist with experience working in LGBTQ+ crisis services, crisis housing, and psychiatric facilities.
