Hi, I’m Kim. Are you feeling “some type of way” about things lately? Mental health therapy for real life. It's okay not to be okay.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker in ,
An adjustment disorder is an emotional or behavioral reaction to a stressful event or change in a person's life. We all experience transitions and many of us have experienced unplanned or unwanted ones in the last few years. I can help you move back to your baseline from burnout or work through how to adjust and create your 'new normal."
Teens deserve and desire to be heard, seen, and respected. Unfortunately, too many aren't in today's world. I am here to help and listen. I have worked with nonprofits, child welfare systems, schools, churches with private individuals, and groups to provide social work services, therapy, and yoga/embodied movement instruction, case management, and consultation.
My goal is for you to feel confident in your ability to navigate the waves of life and use our time to check in, vent and receive support, and strategize how to help you continue living a life you desire without your mental health interfering beyond your ability to cope. Have you had a major shift in your perspective on life in the last 10 years and struggle to integrate your story? Have you lost your focus or joy after something big happened in your life or to you?
Having a brain that operates differently isn’t a problem to be solved, it’s an operating system to be learned. Let’s learn together. Recently, more of us have begun to discover that our “talented and gifted” nature as a child was actually highly masked neurodivergence. As we discover who we are, we often discover we aren’t who others think we are. This can be complicated - especially if we struggle with a fear of rejection.
