About My Clients
Most of my clients suffer from depression, anxiety, self-esteem, and relationship issues. Trauma, abuse, & grief/loss are often the catalyst that brings a client into my office when they are ready to move from just survival mode, into thriving mode. If you feel stuck, we can work together to uncover the barriers and ultimately overcome whatever is keeping you stagnant.
My Background and Approach
I have 10+ years of experience guiding people through healing and growth to improve their lives. It’s a privilege to provide a nurturing space, where people can explore their inner lives and work to heal the parts needing love. Some ways I assist my clients in their journey is by providing meaningful feedback, insightful interpretation, and, when appropriate, candid directness. I offer gentle confrontations when I notice a blind spot so people are able to consider alternative perspectives. Sometimes it’s necessary to challenge our thinking styles and long held beliefs. Homework is often a part of our work so that the concepts we are working on in session are reinforced outside of our time together.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am passionate about uncovering and understanding the biological, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual factors that hold people back from fulfilling lives. Every person has a story full of tragedy and triumph as well as all of the feelings and thoughts that go along with those experiences, and I truly enjoy listening to those stories. It is such an honor to get to experience a person’s story and inner thought life along with them, and I do not take that privilege lightly. I am also very much an animal person and have volunteered with rescue organizations in the metroplex through fostering dogs, and fundraising/adoption events.
