My Background and Approach

I attained my education from California State University, Fullerton, with my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology & Women & Gender Studies, & my Master of Science in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage & Family Therapy. I completed my practicum at Orange Coast College, Student Health Center in Costa Mesa. I specialize in counseling LGBTQ+ HSP teens, neurodiverse couples, & young adults, focusing on emotional understanding, identity exploration, & relational dynamics. My approach empowers clients through resilience, nervous system regulation, self-compassion, authentic communication, education, & creating a safe space for personal growth & deeper connections. Feeling overwhelmed or lost in your journey? Whether you're a LGBTQ+, HSP, teen, couple, or young adult facing challenges, you're not alone. I would love to help you navigate your inner world, teach you to heal, & allow yourself to grow.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that the personal is political & every lived experience is full of a multitude of identities that are impacted by the social & cultural contexts in which they occur. I integrate discussion & acknowledgment of systemic oppression as these factors cannot be overlooked. I have a genuine desire for knowledge & understanding. Any individual change within therapy will unfailingly be impeded if the larger systems & culture remain the same. Thus, I believe that my role as a therapist must extend into active participation through therapeutic advocacy that includes learning & listening to others, providing resources, facilitating psychoeducation workshops, challenging the -isms, & being congruent across all spheres of my life. I am a lifelong student that is trauma-informed, actively working to be anti-racist, culturally competent, LGBTQ+ affirming and neurodiversity affirming.
