About My Clients
Relationships are the foundation of our lives. Through connection with one another we can either thrive or feel isolated and alone. Working to strengthen or even rebuild connections with others and with ourselves is extremely important to creating a sense of community and acceptance. If our foundation feels secure and safe, we can then allow ourselves to thrive in other areas of our lives. However, if our connection with others feels uncertain it can leave us feeling disconnected and withdrawn.
My Background and Approach
I have special training in relational therapy and how our "systems" influence and impact our lives. This can be our romantic system, family systems, social systems, or even community system. The relationships we have all around us can impact our connection to our systems which are important in influencing our mental state of feeling supported or withdrawn. I also have special training in trauma and EMDR which can be used for individuals, children, and couples.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe human beings are much more resilient then we give ourselves credit for. We are able to break down barriers that we thought we could never make it through. We are able to push past fears that we thought we could not overcome, and we are able to achieve things we could barely allow ourselves to dream of doing. While these things may seem impossible at times, I believe we are capable of much greater things then we sometimes allow ourselves to realize.
