About My Clients
I have experience working with a variety of populations which include but are not limited to addiction, parental coaching, adults, children, and adolescents suffering from emotional, mood, and behavioral disturbances, veterans of war, and adults dealing with anxiety/stress, burnout, depression, anger management, relationship/career/family issues, and bereavement.
My Background and Approach
I received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Christian counseling as well as a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. I am currently a resident earning hours toward LPC and have experience working with a variety of populations. I possess a unique understanding of human emotions along with in depth understanding of emotion regulation especially as it relates to addiction. I recognize that we create from our past experiences to shape who we are and I assist clients in liberating themselves from unhelpful patterns, painful past experiences, and negative internal dialogues that hold them back from leading a life that is meaningful, engaging, and enjoyable. I am passionate about emotion work, am client centered, and solution focused all the while providing a balance of psychoeducation and using an empathetic approach, personalized tools, and techniques.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe the therapeutic process will bring about self awareness and mindfulness; these things combined with psychoeducation enables the client to feel truly understood and empowered to become their own vehicle of change. Finding the right therapist can be hard and scary for some; I am committed to supporting the client throughout the therapeutic process.
