Breaking the cycle of abuse and trauma is vital to our healing journey. We often carry the burden of trauma that has impacted our parents, grandparents, and ancestors. In my work, I acknowledge this burden that may exist in some of our lives. Through my services, I am committed to not only offer a variety of techniques to manage the impact, but also a safe space to acknowledge and process feelings that comes with such trauma.

As a child of Salvadoran immigrants, I understand deeply the issues related to immigration and acculturation, which involves the navigation of living between two cultural worlds. Through my work and services, I have found that supporting others, in navigating similar challenges in their identity, relationships, and place in the world, as a rich and powerful experience. It has been an inspiration to work with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd generations of immigrants and partner in their healing process.

The identity of the Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) comes with many strengths that may enrich the life of the HSP and those around them. However, the same sensitivities may come with challenges that impacts identity, relationships, work life, and other life domains. As an HSP, I have had the honor to work with others that identify as HSP (or we have together discovered that they are an HSP) and work towards finding self-compassion by honoring the gifts that accompany being an HSP.

Relational therapy centers on the importance of human relationships and its impact on the quality of our life. In my approach, I value the importance of the client-therapist relationship as healing cannot begin in therapy with the support of a someone who is trustworthy and offers a safe place to work through challenges inside and outside of therapy. Through this approach, I commit to offering you such a space so that it can have a positive effect on you, your relationships, and overall life.

Everyone person that I meet with and offer my services to is unique in their own way. We differ in identities, including gender, culture, and many more. We all present with different challenges in our lives with unique origins to those challenges. Therefore, I offer a varied approach that draws on evidence and practice based interventions that will not only support your healing journey, but will also be tailored to meet your unique needs.

As a therapist of color, I know how it important it can be to receive support from someone who may connect with my personal journey of being of color. I commit to providing a therapeutic space that honors and invites an individual to show up in all of their identities and find support in what it means to navigate the world in their identities. I strive to hold the strengths and challenges that may be present due to an individual's cultural identities as it integrated throughout the therapy.
