About My Clients
My clients can expect to be guided into identifying their unique destructive and damaging patterns and learning what can be done to solve their own problems and transform their lives, through a tailor-made change Plan. The client can expect to complete homework, practice their skills, and diligently try out the recommendations they are given.
My Background and Approach
My counseling style is warm, interactive, and solution-oriented. I believe in treating all clients with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and without any stigmatizing labels. My clinical approaches include Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy/TEAM CBT (CBT), Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), Thought Field Therapy (TFT), Imago Relationship Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Informed Therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the human capacity to change, heal and restore that which is broken or distorted. All things are possible to the person that believes and there are no limits to the possibilities except self-imposed limitations. I think the main reason we develop mental health issues is because of our thoughts. Our thoughts generate our feelings/emotions. Our feelings and emotions lead to/generate our behaviors/ actions, and our actions/behaviors have consequences, good or bad, we get to choose often. Happiness is a choice so also are our behaviors.
