Adjusting to life transitions, whether planned or unexpected, can be very challenging. They change the routine of what we expected our life to be. I can help you through these transitions and the decisions, anxieties and sometimes fear that come along with changes.
Families may be wonderful but they are often a place where we experience our most significant heartache. Addressing issues regarding generational trauma, multigenerational family dynamics, marriage, children, domestic partners, and the list goes on, can be the most difficult work. As your therapist, I can help you identify the stressors and the vulnerabilities. Together, using a solution focused style, we will identify how to approach any areas of concern.
Relationships can be difficult. Love isn't always perfect. In considering relationships, we often think about romantic relationships, but let's also consider--siblings, friends, coworkers, etc. We often feel societal or familial pressure to have great relationships but what if we don't? As babies, we are expected to form an attachment with our caregiver. What if that attachment is not strong? How does a strong or weak attachment manifest in our adult lives? We will discuss your experiences and identify patterns which may be holding you back.
