About My Clients
I have worked with an array of concerns including depression, anxiety, multicultural issues, trauma, life transitions/stressors and LGBTQ+ related issues. As a multicultural counselor, I know that your story and identities have a huge role in how you navigate the world. If you are looking for some help heading in the right direction, then I can offer support.
My Background and Approach
I primarily have a narrative theoretical orientation, while incorporating multicultural and cognitive behavioral therapy approaches. I like to have my clients leave each session with something they can work towards making progress in, whether that is self-care, practicing coping skills, building social support network, and many other things. Along with my clinical mental health counseling experience, I have years of experience as a school counselor. I spent years as a middle school guidance counselor, helping children and teens work through the many challenges (self-esteem issues, depression, anxiety, identity issues, peer/family conflict, etc.) they face in that stage of life. I hope to create a safe and affirming space for you to work on becoming your best self!
