About Our Clients

Our clients are teens, individual adults, and couples who are highly sensitive/empaths, neurodivergent (ADHD, Autism, AuDHD, etc.), creatives, and professionals who desire to heal from their childhood attachment injuries and build safe, connected, and meaningful relationships. They've experienced grief and loss, encountered massive transitions, dealt with pregnancy/postpartum anxieties, and have various marginalized identities. Our clients are intuitive, conscientious, and driven.

Our Background and Approach

Using both traditional talk therapy (CBT, ACT, Gottman Method) and experiential and process-oriented modalities (IFS, EFT, and IFIO), we specialize in trauma recovery, identity exploration, and deepened connection with neurodivergent couples and couples encountering major life transitions such as parenthood. We provide individual and couples psychotherapy to adults who want to grow and heal in relationships with others and themselves. We believe people are experts of their own experiences and that long-lasting change is built on a compassionate and trusting relationship with themselves first. Through therapy, our clients find that they are no longer overwhelmed and shut down by the parts of them that feel angry, jealous, depressed, guilty, resentful, etc., and experience not only appreciation for these parts but also the ability to heal in a lasting way. We invite you to find your best-fit therapist with us and visit www.therapyonfig.com/contact to book an initial free consult!

More About the People We Treat

Some common themes our clients come into therapy with are: -Family-of-origin issues, such as being stuck as a caretaker for emotionally immature parents and straddling bicultural worlds from immigrant Asian American or Latinx families. -Persistent feelings of guilt, resentment, burnout, and loneliness -Unlearning negative messaging around being neurodiverse and learning to embrace strengths and navigate nuances as a neurodivergent person at work and in relationships -Being highly sensitive or empathic while working in a competitive and high-stimulation work culture -Couples working through differences and conflicts inherent in the relationship's past and present (cultural, trauma history, neurodivergence, etc.) and desire better communication, clarity, connection, and repair -Adult siblings or parent with adult child seeking change in their relational dynamics, repair past hurt, and identify cycles that perpetuate certain family patterns that contribute to more pain
