About My Clients

90% of my couples clients share these traits: They are VERY DIFFERENT from each other: mixed-race, interracial, mixed-cultural background, earning capacity varies; One or more is neuro-divergent; High-conflict; Multiple partners involved; ENM; Open relationship/marriage. The rest of my 10% is court-related: Court-referred reunification family therapy; Court-referred co-parenting counseling/child custody mediation; Self-referred co-parenting counseling/child custody mediation.

My Background and Approach

I have advanced degrees in Family Law and Somatic Psychology. With years of experience in working with children and families, couples, and individuals with ADHD in community mental health, the court system, and private practice, I developed a couple of specialties: - Premarital/ Marital Counseling for couples, especially if one partner or both partner has ADHD. - Co-parenting Counseling/ Child Custody Mediation for partners who are separated/ divorced/ in the process of divorce. - Reunification Family Therapy for parent and child(ren) who are separated for prolonged periods and the attachment bond is damaged. I provide solution-focused, directive counseling services for couples and families with system-centered, trauma-informed, attachment-based, and emotion-focused approaches. I am collaborative and directive. I set a clear structure to provide a safe place for my clients to explore feelings, and to gain insights on what they get stuck in their relationships and lives.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Relationships are difficult as we are all unique individuals. I believe that we are all on some spectrum for neuro-diversity, gender fluidity, sexual-orientation, and spiritual affiliation. By getting to know who we are and who they are, we realize our uniqueness and the precious nature of our connection despite the differences. I also believe that people change all the time. We are changing each other's brains constantly. The closer the relationship is, the more impact that relationship is on each individual's brain. This belief supports my motivation to work with couples and families. Ultimately, I believe that I am benefiting children who are involved with these families.
