We’re here to help create healthier communities by nourishing intimate relationships, healing trauma, & fighting systemic oppression.
Therapist in Los Angeles, CA
Our approach brings in consideration of our clients’ cultures and unpacks societal factors and forces of systemic oppression. We use a values-forward style that curiously explores your environment and context, and considers how issues of social justice and (in)equity may be contributing to your distress.
As human beings, we need relationships to survive. But relationships are also very difficult! Our practice focuses on helping our clients build thriving relationships and increase meaningful connection in their lives. Our co-owners, Paul & Kaitlin Kindman are both Level Two PACT Therapists (Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy) who specialize in helping couples to deepen intimacy, security, and contentment in their relationship and repair ruptures and betrayals.
The core foundation of good therapeutic work is a relationship built on warmth, authenticity, and trust, where all parties learn from one another. Our approach pays close attention to what is happening moment-to-moment and explores the ways that we are impacting each other. We know that therapy is incredibly vulnerable and can feel intimidating! Our therapists are not blank slates-knowing about the person you're sharing with and what they stand for makes sharing a little bit easier.
Western culture privileges the knowledge of our minds over the wisdom of our bodies. We know that the body holds memory and pain and is reponsible for a huge part of our emotional experience and reactions. We work with clients to become more acquainted with emotions as they are experienced in their bodies and build techniques to help lessen reactivity, soothe anxiety and worry, heal and release trauma responses, and feel more at ease.
