About My Clients

Whether you are suffering from OCD, social anxiety, depression, people-pleasing, existential fears, relationship concerns, fear or shame, you deserve to feel important, understood, and cared for. I am committed to showing up for you. I want to navigate these stormy waters alongside you and help you meet your true, emboldened Self.

My Background and Approach

Your treatment will be tailored to your unique needs. I have a very gentle and warm approach, and will not hesitate to offer an encouraging word when needed. I will also not shy away from offering unique insights that will benefit your healing journey. I often ask for feedback on sessions so that I may offer the best therapy possible. Perhaps you are someone who prefers a solution-oriented, tangible skills approach or perhaps you are someone who needs the space to confront difficult feelings and finally meet the authentic, wise Self you know you have always been. I aim to arm you with tools that will bring you a sense of empowerment, self-understanding, and radical self-acceptance. My previous work experiences include crisis counseling, school counseling, groupwork, and brief intervention services for those who experienced trauma, crises, or otherwise life-changing events. I am trained in ERP, I-CBT, ACT, Koru mindfulness, and Somatic therapy techniques.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that therapy work inherently involves social advocacy and justice. My previous volunteer experiences include work with underserved populations (older folks, students, incarcerated folks, people in crisis, and even animals) and discussions about topics such as the connection between STEM and the Humanities, the meaning of life, forgiveness, perfection, systemic injustice and change, and more. If I believe in a cause, then I act on those values. I attend and organize protests, contact congress, share information and actively learn about global events/issues. Everyone deserves access to quality mental healthcare that is grounded in cultural sensitivity and current research in all fields, not just those that work to pathologize. I believe each individual is the authority on their own experiences. I aspire to help people assert their true Self-- grounded in acceptance, wisdom, hope, and freedom.
