I know from personal experience and seeing many clients before you that there is hope and a way out of your current feeling. My goal is to help you achieve your biggest dreams and goals that you have for your life and your mental health!
My Background and Approach
I’ve worked for over 3 years in inpatient/residential and outpatient facilities with adolescents, adults, and families experiencing various mental health disorders. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, EFFT, CPT, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Mindfulness, and Solution-focused therapy. I specialize in treating symptoms of mental health disorders including trauma, eating disorders, substance use, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that this life is worth living and taking the fullest advantage of everything it has to offer us and that we have to offer it. To me that means living according our values and doing good things for others and ourselves. As a teenager and young adult, I experienced eating disorders, depression, and an anxiety disorder. I have lived now for years without these controlling my thoughts, feelings, or my life, and I want everyone to feel the same joy and peace that I now experience every day. I am a major advocate for health and wellbeing that doesn't include shrinking people's bodies. I believe there is plenty of space for all of us in this big, big world and nobody should live without. I don't discriminate against anyone. I make it a point to participate in community actions that support the LGBTQ community and people who don't look, sound, or think the same as I do.
