About My Clients
I enjoy working with individuals experiencing life transitions, depression, anxiety, and LGBTQIA+ concerns.
My Background and Approach
Life is hard enough right now, even if you don’t live with a mental health condition. I am also here to process stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, family issues, difficult emotions, behavioral concerns, coping skills, communication skills, safety planning, dismantling systems of oppression, and other concerns. I believe in collaborating to find solutions that are unique to your problems. Changing how we think and feel about situations outside of our control can be powerful, while also acknowledging and reforming societal expectations that contribute to stress, anxiety, depression, and unhappiness. My counseling style is based in finding ways to cope with life pressure while continuing to live by your personal values. The theories I draw from include attachment theory, feminist theory, existentialism, trauma informed practices, and Gottman Method. “I am no longer accepting the things I cannot change. I am changing the things I cannot accept.” – Angela Davis
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am part of the LGBTQIA+ community, trans affirming, and allied with all gender and sexual minorities
