About My Clients
Are you feeling afraid or alone in your Journey to finding your truth. Grief, Depression, Anxiety or other symptoms can negatively impact our lives, at times leaving us feeling confused and lost. It is my goal to assist clients in their journey to learning more about themselves, identifying the strengths already present and coping skills to improve their quality of life utilizing a number of treatment modalities that best fit the client and their needs.
My Background and Approach
I will provide a holistic approach to your treatment, we'll work collaboratively to identify the issues that currently weigh you down. We'll start with what's going on in the moment and how to get control over your body and thoughts. My focus is on helping people recognize their strengths, build healthy coping skills and address the hidden issues that continue to cause disruption in your life. I serve diverse populations to include: substance abuse, medicated assisted treatment (MAT), anxiety, grief, depression, geriatrics, young mothers, single mothers, domestic violence, homeless, veterans, LGBTQ & more. I provide non judgmental, compassionate therapy utilizing numerous modalities. I continue to expand my knowledge base by attending trainings, reading new material and the like. I look forward to working with you as you begin this new adventure on your Journey to your Truth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that most mental health issues originate from genetics, environment & trauma / abuse, but often times a combination.We learn behaviors, often negative behaviors, to adjust, survive or function in our daily lives. Many of the behaviors can be unlearned, and we can adopt newer healthier behaviors that will enrich our lives. Everyone has a past, a story, and has the right to be valued, listened to and appreciated. It is my goal to assist you on your Journey to your Truth, to assist you in identifying your already present strengths, and help you to adapt to a healthier you in the process and to improve your overall quality of life and functioning. We will work collaboratively to develop a unique treatment plan utilizing a variety of modalities. I am a survivor of childhood trauma, abandoned at age 5, single mother, victim of domestic violence, homeless, hungry and a high school drop out.
