About My Clients
Do you find yourself anxious, depressed, or ruminating about an interaction, decision, or past event? Do you doubt yourself and lack self-esteem? So many of these feelings are common and treatable when working with a trained and compassionate counselor. Let me help you identify problematic patterns and implement healing change.
My Background and Approach
I utilize an eclectic approach to counseling from a humanistic perspective. I value each person's unique history and worldview, matching treatment to the person. Some modalities that I use are CBT, DBT, Person-centered, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy. I am trained in EMDR for treatment of trauma and perinatal mood disorders (ie postpartum depression). I have worked within an addictions clinic, a group practice, and now in private practice. I have experience working with individuals from adolescence to advanced age of many different ethnicities, races, sexual orientations, and gender identities. I have a Bachelors of Science majoring in human development and family studies with a minor in psychology. My goal as your therapist is to draw on my training, but most importantly connect with you as another human being. I want to help you heal by teaching you tools to calm the inner critic and quiet the chaos.
