About My Clients

I work best with people who are feeling chained down by their self-esteem, whether that be from their self-talk or external factors such as family, friends, or society. Anyone who is looking to improve their life overall, even if they do not know what that looks like. People who are seeking to heighten their intuition and prioritize growth. I have a special passion for the LGBTQ+ community and am a gay-identifying therapist. I also specialize in mindfulness, grief, and oncology.

My Background and Approach

My focus is on our relationship as client and therapist. In our world, this is the most important factor that predicts beneficial outcomes in therapy. While I have professional training and knowledge, I am a person first. My focus is for you to come to therapy feeling comfortable to process your thoughts and emotions with me in a safe environment. This allows me to pull from various types of counseling including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I am also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) which allows people to quickly process negative sensations and emotions in a short amount of time. This intervention can be used with any presenting issues including trauma.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As a gay therapist, I know the importance of providing space for people who are confined and ignored daily. I believe we are all people at the end of the day and if we focus more on how we are similar rather than different, there would be more growth in the world. Outside of the office, you’ll find me reading and/or watching something related to Star Wars or Harry Potter (Slytherin, duh). I also love video games, Legos, and learning new languages (currently learning Japanese). I enjoy traveling and was able to nab a parter who is a flight attendant. I like to think I have found a nice balance between being adventurous and laidback, though may lean toward the second one. I have a Podcast with a former colleague called Two Tired Therapists that provides a more light-hearted, comedic take on mental health and pop-culture.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
