About My Clients
We all have difficult moments in our lives that evoke feelings we do not enjoy. Sadness can feel like it will never end. Anger can build up in our head, but we may feel judged by others for expressing it. If only there was a simple button we could press that would create feelings of happiness. You understand better than anyone else that there is no magic button to turn off anxiety, depression, unwanted addictions, or anything else that brings discomfort in your life.
My Background and Approach
There is good news for you and others having difficulty during these times. I would be honored to listen as you speak about past and present experiences, and also help you find the path you want to take moving forward. My approach is to listen first, and then work collaboratively with you as we create a plan for your wants, needs, and goals. Some of us may have events from our past that we wish we could erase. I have experience treating individuals who have a history of past trauma. Such experiences do not define who you are as a person moving forward. You are much more than your past.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that every person is a unique individual seeking purpose for their life. You are the person who knows yourself the best, although stressful times can make self-reflection and understanding all the more difficult. Verbally expressing our thoughts and feelings can bring clarity for you. I would be honored to hear you share whatever comes to mind during therapy.
