About My Clients

At The Refuge Marriage and Family Therapy, our clients are individuals, couples, and families seeking support in navigating life’s challenges. Many are neurodivergent or facing struggles with communication, emotional regulation, trauma, or relationship dynamics. They come with a desire for growth, healing, and connection. We provide a compassionate, inclusive space where clients feel understood and empowered to build stronger relationships and live with greater authenticity and well-being.

My Background and Approach

I earned my master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with a focus on Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. With training in both psychotherapy and bodywork, I take a holistic approach to healthcare, prioritizing the long-term well-being of individuals and families. My approach goes beyond traditional talk therapy, often addressing deeply ingrained patterns and beliefs that affect both thinking and physical experiences. I integrate elements of inner child work, attachment theory, Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, CBT, Emotion-Focused Family Therapy, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy to tailor the therapeutic process to each individual's needs.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As I see it, humans have an inner capacity to evolve and that they possess personal responsibility over their own life. People can find real change with the assistance of a strong therapeutic alliance and the opportunity to explore their emotional needs.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
