About My Clients
My clients are usually people who are committed to self-improvement and want better relationships. My areas of focus tend to be: relationship problems (family, romantic, and platonic), identity formation, anxiety, grief/loss, trauma, work-life balance, stress management, and finding meaning or purpose in life.
My Background and Approach
I come from a mixed-race ethnicity with a grief/loss-stricken family system. I am trained psychodynamically with an emphasis on somatic practices. I utilize mindfulness, neuroscience, social justice, and feminist lenses with evidence-based approaches that offer both practical tools to use in your everyday life and deeper more long-term change or growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in human rights. I believe that being your most authentic self is your greatest strength. I believe that community is more powerful than individualism. I believe that choosing to live in joy and self-compassion is a fierce and often radical practice. I believe that pursuing what you are most passionate about is an act of resistance and resilience.
