About My Clients
I work with young people and families most. But I also specialize in parent support and co-parenting especially thru separation and divorce. I dont believe in forcing people to work on themselves. So willingness to dive in is a must!
My Background and Approach
Ive been in the mental health field for going on 20 years. Ive done a lot of different things such as lead wilderness therapy trips thru rafting and backpacking to working with very suicidal teens on a mobile crisis team. I have taught life skills (interpersonal and emotional intelligence classes) in several schools. Im passionate about my private practice. I do have an office but often Im out doing walking sessions in nature with my individual clients. And sometimes I even go to the homes of my family clients. Im direct in my approach and believe in solution focused, family systems and brief therapy. My ultimate goal is to hold a safe and nurturing space for discovery and growth to occur. Im supportive and compassionate.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Im very open about all forms of being. My eyes are wide open as I feel I am learning all the time through various experiences. I honor and respect differences and at the core I believe we are all seeking to be really seen and heard and valued in life and in our relationships.
