Welcome. I am a South Asian, Liberation and Holistic oriented therapist. Thank you for checking out my profile!
Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California
Most of my experience and training focuses on healing from trauma. Many of my clients experience some form of abuse such as emotional, physical, sexual, financial, and more- whether that is from specific individuals or even through societal oppression.
All of my practices are shaped by being anti-oppressive (to reduce harm), liberatory (to find ways of healing and thriving), and de-colonial (challenging the harmful impacts of colonization and white supremacy culture). I support clients from diverse and often marginalized backgrounds, include LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, immigrants, and diverse abilities.
IPNB is a holistic and integrative approach that is helps promote a deep healing. I have extensive experience with IPNB through a year-long training from a socially informed and de-colonial perspective. I have also studied IPNB through the mindsight institute. This holistic prospective blends my educational background of Cognitive Psychology and Clinical Social Work.
Most of my training is geared towards healing trauma, whether that is using IPNB (see trauma holistically), Somatic Practices (using the body to support processing and healing), Narrative Therapy (understanding the impact of our thoughts and stories), and Buddhist Psychology (building intentionality, and connection to meaning).
Most of my training is with trauma and various forms of abuse (emotion, physical, systemic and more). I take a holistic and liberatory lense to help my clients experience sustainable healing.
Anxiety can be overwhelming. I use a compassionate and holistic approach to addressing anxiety because often the anxiety can be a reflection of other larger challenges. Rather than thinking of anxiety as completely irrational, I find it can be a teacher with it's own wisdom.
