About My Clients
Perhaps you have been considering therapy for a while, maybe this is a return for new strategies, or life’s constant upheavals have necessitated you to consider our support. Individual counseling and coaching clients can expect our therapists to provide an open and non-judgmental space for honest dialogue, creative problem-solving strategies, and the use of individually tailored and structured treatment plans, of which you are an active collaborator, to meet your goals.
My Background and Approach
Like many therapists I use a variety of modalities to best meet client needs. While each clients needs directs the treatment approach I have specific training and interests in the following; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy through the Beck Institute, utilizing cognitive reframing techniques and behavior modifications to help reach clients who are afflicted with anxiety and depression. As a STARR Certified Trauma and Resilience Practitioner both Clinical and Educator Tracks I apply a trauma informed lens when working with both children and adults affected by recent, as well as historic and generational traumas to help bolster resilience and increase self-esteem and reduce trauma related symptoms negatively impacting daily life. Having now completed Level 3 Training in Gottman Methods Couples Therapy, I am able to use Gottman Methods within my treatment approach when working with couples who are seeking support to help increase communication, decrease arguments, and heal from infidelity.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I strive to provide a therapeutic environment filled with compassion and connection. I believe that you are the expert on your circumstances, family, and needs. Together we can work to help alleviate mental and emotional obstacles, learn new coping skills, and practice replacement behaviors and strategies.
