About My Clients
My past experience with clients includes anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, self-esteem, polyamory relationships, life transitions, and identity exploration. I have worked primarily with clients experiencing marginalization from multiple identities they hold.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, affirming, and client-centered. Through a social justice lens, I recognize the multiple systems that affect your experiences and relationships. With warmth, encouragement, acceptance, and a little laughter, we will work together to find new ways of coping, identify patterns that no longer suit your needs, build and repair relationships, and create a positive therapeutic relationship while you explore your desires, goals, and motivations. Art Therapy can be a way to connect with your body, identify your strengths, deepen self-insight, or simply relax and explore safely - you don’t have to be an artist to benefit.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My core belief that people are resilient and are capable of growth. As a queer, polyamorous, trans masculine person, I recognize the importance of identity exploration, intersectionality, and how history holds a person’s narrative of resilience. No one exists in a vacuum, and our social culture, interpersonal relationships, and core beliefs all shape how we exist and experience our world. I value honest, open, humorous, and curious connections that allow everyone to show up authentically. Without an authentic connection, we cannot collaborate on your goals or make progress in our work together.
