About My Clients
My eclectic therapy approach works well with all types of people including: creatives, executives, self-doubters, perfectionists, existentially-unrested, procrastinators, trauma survivors, & more. I work holistically with individuals & couples, through an attachment lens, to move through their various transitions, unmet needs, relationship challenges, existential issues & mental health concerns.
My Background and Approach
My unique holistic approach to psychotherapy is a little different from traditional talk therapy. It's therapy for the whole self. My goal is always alignment & balance in the mind, body, & soul. This begins with building rapport & safety, unconditional respect, & acceptance. I will join you as you explore & express your feelings, thoughts, and behaviors (mind). I facilitate healing through building awareness of sensations in your body & nervous system regulation (body). I will walk with you on your hero’s journey through to the other side (soul). My approach blends Jungian/Depth, Brainspotting, Mindfulness, Somatic Psychotherapy, Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy & various other modalities that incorporate inner child work, parts exploration, creativity, & dreamwork. I'm a holistic generalist with a diverse toolbox. I offer an eclectic mix of tools to meet you where you are, help you identify your goals for therapy, and then accompany you on the journey toward reaching them.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I worked as an entrepreneur and in corporate America for 20+ years. Ten years after earning an MBA I returned to school again to get a counseling degree. The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron and 12-step recovery redirected me back to that path. I love what I do and am passionate about traveling beside individuals, couples, families, and groups as they come into alignment with their most authentic selves. Like Jung, I believe the goal of therapy is to bring more of what we are unconscious of into our conscious awareness. We are only conscious of about 5% of our memories, yet 100% of them guide our (re)actions, thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Knowing ourselves is a life-long journey. It's similar to peeling back layers of an onion. As we grow and change, there is always more to learn. This process alleviates symptoms of depression, anxiety, obsessive thinking, compulsive behavior, and addiction. I look forward to learning about you and your journey.
