About My Clients
Are you an emerging professional experiencing anxiety, relationship distress, or dissociation? Are you often hypervigilant, insecure or disconnected from your body? Do you feel you can't trust yourself? Are you aware of self-defeating behaviors, but can't seem to change them? You may have had a "late-in-life" diagnosis, realized your childhood was traumatic, had a recent breakup, job change, newborn or Saturn Return. You want long-lasting change and a Right-Fit Therapist who is Neurodivergent.
My Background and Approach
I'm the therapist folks come to when nothing else has worked or they want their marginalized identities held well. I have thousands of hours of clinical work, nearly a decade of mental health experience, and 25+ years in somatics. Whether you're new to therapy or experienced, you want more than old school talk therapy. I center your needs and make therapy approachable, inspiring, and engaging. True healing is non-linear, but you will experience shifts immediately. That's the power of the MindBody connection. We'll investigate your core beliefs, heal chronic stress and break ongoing patterns. We'll restore your MindBody connection so you can move beyond surviving to thriving. Through practice you'll transform. By working from the bottom-up: sensations, emotions, then thoughts, you'll access a well of information about yourself and foster compassion for your survival defenses, known as "parts" causing your inner conflict and outward distress. You'll learn to trust yourself again.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
After choosing to recover from an eating disorder that reflected the chaos of my internal and external life, I developed a special interest in therapy and embodiment. I then began my Master’s in Counseling Psychology at the renowned California Institute of Integral Studies’ Somatic Psychology program. One of the few in the world. Today I am proud NeuroQueer LMFT practicing Integrative Somatic Psychology specialized in supporting neurodivergent overachievers who deserve quality care. I believe choosing to heal ourselves is essential for building a world that centers equity, inclusivity and connection. I believe humans are inherently good, but are so injured and trapped by our conditioned survival responses we forget how to access joy, authentic relationships or embrace change. Helping fellow humans heal gives me great satisfaction and hope for a brighter future our world so desperately needs.
