About My Clients

Are you often hypervigilant and tense? Insecure in relationships? Disconnected from your body and emotions? Feel worthless or like you can't trust yourself? Are aware of self-defeating behaviors, but can't seem to change? Are you a young professional experiencing anxiety, relationship distress, or dissociation? You may have had a recent breakup, job change, newborn or Saturn Return. You may have had a "late-in-life" diagnosis or realization around your identity, childhood or brain style.

My Background and Approach

I'm the therapist folks come to when nothing else has worked or they want their marginalized identities held well. I have thousands of hours of clinical work, nearly a decade of mental health experience, and 25+ years in somatics. Whether you're new to therapy or experienced, you want more than old school talk therapy. I center your needs and make therapy approachable, inspiring, and engaging. True healing is non-linear, but you will experience shifts immediately. That's the power of the MindBody connection. We'll investigate your core beliefs, heal chronic stress and break ongoing patterns. We'll restore your MindBody connection so you can move beyond surviving to thriving. Through practice you'll transform. By working from the bottom-up: sensations, emotions, then thoughts, you'll access a well of information about yourself and foster compassion for your survival defenses, known as "parts" causing your inner conflict and outward distress. You'll learn to trust yourself again.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe most people are walking around with boatloads of unprocessed trauma, confused and frustrated as to why they aren't more fulfilled in their relationships or their lives. Folks often think of trauma as one-off-scary-events, but for most people, they looked much more like neglect. It's often what didn't happen that causes these symptoms causing you to say "my childhood wasn't that bad, I think?" I believe with the 5 C's: Courage, Curiosity, Consciousness, Compassion and Consistency breaking these long held conditioned cycles is 100% possible. I've experienced it myself as a survivor and see it everyday with my clients. I believe trauma-informed identity-first care is everything. How can we heal if we pretend like the systems around us don't influence our experience? How can I ask my clients to trust more when they see the news, experience violence or discrimination for who they are? It's unrealistic, unfair, and frankly, unethical. I believe in treating the Whole-Person.
