About Our Clients
My practice is comprised of several providers that have openings at various times and whose info is included together below. We provide reception and sessions in both English and Spanish. In general, we provide safe, affirming care to youth and young adults ages 10+, LGBTQIA2+ folks and neurodivergent folks experiencing a variety of mental health needs.
What We Specialize In
My providers specialize in trauma, mood disorders, life transitions, anxiety, depression, suicidality, eating disorders, immigrant issues, parenting, post-partum work, women's issues, difficulty in relationships, school problems, and more. We also believe that systemic issues impact us all and our ability to cope with challenges. We work to empower you to create change that will be sustainable and help you navigate tough challenges. Additionally, we make time for ANY client seeking a letter for gender affirming care. We will work with you to make it affordable regardless of insurance.
Our Values as Mental Health Practitioners
Therapy takes work and we are here to guide and support you. We believe that individual and systemic problems impact people's mental health. We believe that we all must recognize our privilege and work to understand how we perpetuate harmful systems and how we can make change to stop this. As the owner of the practice, I engage in regular anti-racism training and engage in volunteer work to support marginalized communities of various kinds. I encourage and provide opportunity for my providers to do the same. Our goal is to walk with you, help you to identify the root of your problems, and empower you to create change. But, doing that requires you to trust us and to develop a relationship that feels safe. To that end, we believe that it is important for therapists to share some of their identity so that you know who you are sitting in the room with. We don't have space to share more here, but you can learn more on our website lycancounseling.com/therapists.
