About My Clients

Mental health needs to be a priority. I will help you begin self-examination by creating a safe space and strong therapeutic relationship. I am here for you if you need extra support to understand societal pressures, to set up healthier boundaries, develop intentional communication, advocate for yourself, reduce anxiety, manage mood fluctuation, understand intergenerational trauma, and improve social interactions. Life doesn't stop, and neither do you.

My Background and Approach

I have been working in mental health since 2011, and my experiences include clinical and social psychology, family therapy, group therapy, social justice, psychiatric and general health. My counseling methodology is connection. I firmly believe in the transformation when therapists and clients connect genuinely. Our space and time are meaningful, safe, and sometimes fun - why not? -. The main theories I use are Gestalt- therapy and Feminist therapy, all from a social justice framework. I integrate techniques and tools from other approaches when necessary. The goal is to ensure the client is attended to their needs and way of seeing/being in the world. I work with individuals from adolescence to the rest of their life span. Clients can be who they are here. LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and Immigrants individuals are more than welcome. My specialties are mood disorders, interpersonal, gender, life transitions, women's well-being, motherhood, and family issues.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe in our good hearts and adaptation. We must constantly adjust using our history and the resources available. We do our best. Yet, there is a time in life when the way we are used to doing or seeing things don't work anymore. It is time to reevaluate ourselves, the world, our community, our strengths, and our limitations. I am an immigrant in the US; I am a woman from a conservative background who didn't quite fit some societal standards. From a little kid, I always wanted to see the world in its broader way. I wanted to learn about cultures and how different groups are impacted differently. As an adult, I started to explore my gender and sexuality, and I am grateful for more people being able to do that. I have learned what it means to be a refugee in our region and how policies, laws, and one's language can impact someone's journey. I am here to learn and to help. Contact me.
