About My Clients
Are you feeling overwhelmed? Have you experienced traumas that have left you feeling stressed? Or perhaps you're simply looking to understand yourself better and lead to a happier life. If these resonate with you, I can help. I have firsthand experience of the challenges individuals from AAPI/immigrant communities face. I also understand the unique challenges the LGBTQ population faces, and I'm committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all of my clients.
My Background and Approach
In my work, I view my clients from a social justice lens and address systemic issues that impact their mental health. I utilize various evidence-based therapeutic approaches to help my clients achieve their goals. I had specialized intensive training in psychodynamic, humanistic, CBT, DBT, and narrative therapy. I am certified in Brainspotting and working toward a consultant level at this moment. I utilize this approach to support clients in processing their traumas. I also offer video games and virtual reality therapy to help you explore your strengths, manage your moods, and devise solutions to overcome your challenges. These innovative approaches can be especially helpful for clients who are seeking a more interactive and immersive therapy experience.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As mental health therapists, it's our duty to provide a welcoming and affirming space for all clients, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, immigration status, or ethnic background. We must actively address the psychological impact of discrimination and hate crimes, offering support, validation, and resources to promote healing and resilience. By advocating for social justice and combating prejudice, we uphold the principles of equity and inclusion, fostering a therapeutic environment where every individual feels valued, understood, and empowered to thrive.
