About My Clients
I love working with clients experiencing life transitions, relationship difficulties, and existential anxiety/dread/crisis. I specialize in working with women in mid-life, infertility, grief, religious trauma, and childhood/family of origin trauma.
My Background and Approach
My Approach: I utilize a person-centered, strengths based approach to connect with each client. I draw from a variety of therapeutic orientations including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness based cognitive therapy, existential therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, somatic therapy, internal family systems, and psycho-dynamic. Background: I have diverse experience in private practice, clinical supervision, administration, community behavioral health, school-based services, HIV care, a group home for geriatric, severely and persistently mentally ill clients, and an emergency shelter for immigrants. The variety of experiences deeply influence who I am and enrich my practice by connecting with the human condition experienced by all.
