When you find your anxious thoughts running on a loop, taking over your entire life, it is time to learn to regain your control. With several years of training, I teach you specific techniques to disrupt and manage your anxious thoughts, so that you can live your life in the present-moment.

When life transitions take place, we can forget to care for ourselves. Amidst the hustle bustle of organizing, you can forget to refill your cup, and are probably running on fumes for years. In my long years of supporting clients, it has become evident that YOU CANNOT OFFER TO OTHERS WHAT YOU DON'T OFFER TO YOURSELF. So, before you resume your care-taking, and nourishing duties, I invite you to learn to offer that kindness to yourself first.

When we women are socialized to be the care-takers and nourishers for everyone around us, life can be painfully exhausting. Self care can feel selfish, and make us feel guilty and shameful for setting boundaries in our relationships. As a Brown feminist, and womanist therapist, I teach you how to unleash your inner power and be the woman you wish to be.

We relate to various feelings (e.g., anger, disappointment) and parts (e.g., inner child) of ourselves the same way we relate human beings. We may unintentionally judge, punish or even shame ourselves for having certain experiences. Using IFT approach, I begin an internal healing work within you, so that as you connect healthily with parts of yourself, your outside relationships with others (e.g., partner) too improve significantly.

At the heart of effective therapy is mutually respectful, supportive and genuine relationship. I know for certain that for healing to take place, a nourishing therapeutic relationship must be foundational. Using humanistic practices, I trust you inner wisdom and invite you to lead the sessions in a direction that feels authentic, and self-actualizing for you.

Human beings are cultural beings, even when we don't quite think so. As we live at the intersection of our ethnicity, age, gender, race, ability status and so on, I give special emphasis to how your culture shaped your ideas of mental health. Using a strengths-based approach, I use culturally sensitive techniques to offer healing that feels reflective of your worldview.
