My name is Neeka LMFT-I. I am trained to work with individuals, couples, and families from various backgrounds. Specialization- Sex Therapy
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist Intern in Las Vegas, NV, NV
Supervised by Brianna Marshall - LMFT
I am currently pursuing a certification in Sex Therapy from UW STOUT. I plan to become a certified Sex Therapist.
My approach to therapy is trauma-informed and ensures that you will not feel re-traumatized while working on yourself in therapy sessions.
I have extensive background, education, and experience working with members of the LGBTQ+ community.
I use eclectic therapy to discover and implement the most effective treatment for each individual. Instead of following any defined structure, eclectic therapy pulls from various therapy techniques to treat each person as a unique individual.
I have education and experience that allows me to use IFS with clients. Internal Family Systems (IFS) is an approach that identifies and addresses multiple sub-personalities or families within each person’s mental system. These sub-personalities consist of wounded parts and painful emotions such as anger and shame, and parts that try to control and protect the person from the pain of the wounded parts.
CBT has been known to be one of the most helpful approaches around today. CBT helps you become aware of inaccurate or negative thinking so you can view challenging situations more clearly and respond to them in a more effective way.
Specializing in polyamorous and open relationships means I embrace the diverse ways people navigate love and connection. Recognizing the unique dynamics of ENM, I can provide a non-judgmental space to explore communication, boundaries, and emotional complexities. I value the opportunity to help clients build healthy connections, foster trust, and enhancing self-awareness within the framework of ENM.
Working with the LGBTQ+ community, I recognize the unique challenges and experiences faced by individuals within this diverse community. Creating a safe and affirming therapeutic space is crucial for fostering trust and understanding. LGBTQ+-affirmative therapists aim to provide support that is sensitive to the specific needs and concerns related to sexual orientation, gender identity, and expression. I am committed to dismantling stigma, fostering self-acceptance, and navigating coming out.
I specialize in anxiety because I recognize the pervasive impact on individuals lives. By working with anxiety, I aim to provide a compassionate and supportive space to explore the root causes, develop coping strategies, and foster resilience. Helping clients navigate anxiety equips them with tools to manage stress, enhance self-awareness, and regain control over their lives. I value the opportunity to empower individuals, promoting personal growth and transforming challenges into self discovery
I use sex therapy in my practice for those who are struggling with sexual issues of all kinds. There are many types of sex therapy that can be used with clients, together, we will only need to find the one that works for you.
