My Background and Approach

Integrative Therapy that Empowers Change I provide an integrative approach to counseling using mindful body-based awareness, somatic psychotherapy (based on principles of the Hakomi method), and existential psychology to help you face your deepest challenges and traumas with curiosity, not shame or fear. Through facilitating a deeper understanding of the patterns that both shape and interfere with your capacity to thrive, you’ll discover the limitless power you have within yourself and your relationships to persevere and transform. You have the power to heal, be free, live authentically, and lead a life full of love and unapologetic joy. Every obstacle you face is an opportunity towards that potential. Many of us expect to find the solution to our problems, our grief, and our dysfunctional relationships through the advice of a therapist. But the truth is the answers you seek are already within you. My role is to serve as a guide on your journey. Psychedelic Assisted Therapy Trained.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

When I was young, I lived with unnecessary suffering because I was fighting my reality. At times I struggled to trust myself and others, resulting in reactionary behaviors. I didn’t understand it was OK to feel my feelings. I didn’t know that I could move through despair by accepting my emotions, experiences, and circumstances. Before arriving at Naropa University, I was debating between devoting my life to the study of Buddhism and becoming a monk, or becoming a therapist. Upon the realization that I could integrate my spiritual path with my life’s work at Naropa, I chose therapy. Through my training and experience, I’ve developed deep inner trust, compassion, resilience, and reliable methods of regulating myself, allowing me to be with all that life is. If I can do it, you can too. You can develop these capacities, which are attainable to everyone, through a plural and interpersonal therapeutic approach.
