About My Clients
My clients are motivated adults (25+) who want to deepen their authenticity & increase intimacy. Do you want to become more honest and accountable? I use a consent framework for parenting, working, and romance/sexual relationships. Get free from attachment traumas that create dependency & abuse patterns using mindfulness, somatic & art therapy. Heal from shame and grow into your highest self. Respect & rely upon your innate wisdom, intuition, and strengths.
My Background and Approach
I hold a bachelor's and master's degree in art from Otis College of Art & Design, Los Angeles, and a master's degree in applied psychology: mental health counseling with a specialization in art therapy from Antioch University Seattle. I have received certificate of study in Adlerian Psychology as well as an Adlerian Psychotherapy certificate from the North American Society of Adlerian Psychology. I integrate attachment, polyvagal, somatic, multicultural, and feminist theories with Adlerian art therapy. There are elements of CBT in Adlerian psychology, which is psychoanalytic, but also humanistic & person-centered. I use humor regularly- therapy can be fun! I work largely with people in the LGBTQ+ community. Many who have trauma, and many who have chronic illness and/or disability. I treat many issues across the lifespan.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a xennial queer, a disabled/spoonie, and a fat witch, who's a secular Buddhist of Jewish descent. I believe in social justice and in using Liberation Psychology values, which seek to dismantle white supremacist, capitalist patriarchy in and out of the therapeutic relationship. I am anti-oppression, aspire to be anti-racist, am affirming of many marginalized identities including transgender people, and believe that Black Lives Matter.
