About My Clients
I work with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, and executive functioning issues. I focus on processing life's challenges, identifying chief complaints, teaching coping strategies to refocus your sense of direction, and adapt to a new "normal". I also work with client's reporting relationship issues to help them gain a deeper understanding and sense of connection. I do my best to provide support to clients to help them feel grounded in love and support.
My Background and Approach
As a clinical psychologist, I work with children, teens, adults, couples, groups, and families. I value a client-centered approach, drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy interventions, and mindfulness techniques. I also embrace a psychodynamic approach when unpacking sensitive or traumatic topics. I am committed to providing a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive environment to help you learn the skills to understand and reframe your happiness.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone is deserving of unconditional love and support. I believe life experiences create the negative beliefs and doubts in our minds. Life presents us with many challenges and lessons. We can choose to examine our experiences and gain insight about the self, others, and the world; what we learn can help us better navigate the path ahead leveraging resilience and strength so that the path ahead is not so scary. I believe in examining our defaults and patterns to better understand the complaint and determine the need. How else can you set your sail in a new direction? I have had my fair share of obstacles, failures, and emotional injuries, all of which I am grateful for as it has taught me a great deal about myself, my relationships, and how to navigate the world. Nothing in life is perfect and finding beauty in what seems broken helps us heal and let go of judgment, leaving the past where it belongs, embracing the present, and allowing the future to come into the horizon.
