I am Phase One certified in Brainspotting, a technique that has been proven effective for folks suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and C-PTSD. Brainspotting utilizes the mind-body connection to help folks approach and process activating memories and experiences.

When working with self-esteem issues, I use a compassionate, mindful approach to help folks unpack harmful narratives and begin to build a healthier relationship with themselves. Occasionally, self-esteem concerns intersect with body image concerns. It is important to note that I practice from a HAES-informed approach (Health at Every Size), and I believe that health looks different for every body.

I am a systemic thinker. I know that when two or more people enter a relationship, they are also bringing all of their lived experiences with them. Our past impacts our present, whether or not we are aware of it. This can result in conflict or persistent communication issues. Using an attachment lens, I help partners consider how they were shaped into the people they are today, and how to use that knowledge to empower positive change in their relationships.

Attachment theory is what led me to this field. In addition to my clinical work, I have read multiple books and taken electives on this subject. I believe our relationships with our primary caregiver(s) and our romantic partner(s) have significant impacts on how we show up in modern day.
