About My Clients
Perhaps you have achieved highly or developed habits of perfectionism, and yet there is still something missing. You drive yourself hard, critique each move, but this never gets you any further. Maybe you win the affections of others and yet you still feel empty. If you feel stuck, I am here to help. Everyone needs an extra set of eyes once in a while! I am a psychologist with a specialty in treating high achieving adults with trauma/burnout and generalist training in depression/anxiety.
My Approach to Helping
I am a therapist with my PhD in clinical psychology - I have completed 4 years of undergraduate training, 5 years in graduate school, and 2 years of specialty skills in a hospital setting. I specialize in trauma treatment which can include issues like burnout, perfectionism, PTSD, pregnancy related issues and more. My practice is best described as authentic, and “salt of the earth.” I enjoy offering scientifically informed treatments that are curated to each client's preferences and timeline. At the end of each session I will ensure that I leave open space for your personal questions and you will ALWAYS walk away with new skills and knowledge to practice outside of session. My practice as truly a fusion between science and heart. Clients who attend my sessions describe me as having a unique ability to see to the core of a matter quickly and offer solutions and perspectives others may have missed. I offer cash pay sessions to eliminate wait times and focus on your needs!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Hi all! Can you believe that therapists are trained to be a blank slate? We are often encouraged not to offer personal info. Maybe that's why it can be so hard to find a provider that you actually connect with - because that's never really true, and most of us pick up on that. I'm happy to see this belief going by the wayside. In truth, I am a nerd and I'm happy to let that flag fly freely. I enjoy science fiction and fantasy and am more than happy to talk with you about epic fantasy books and table top/video games. Feel like talking about huskies, or Halloween? I'm in. In seriousness, I have a strong value of openness and I believe that each individual should feel free and autonomous within their body and mind. My dearest held personal value is my own freedom, power of choice, and sense of adventure. It is imperative to me that I can support these values within my clients. Due to these beliefs I strive to offer care that is culturally sensitive and LGBTQ friendly.
