About My Clients

I work with driven, successful (in career/home/life) folx who need someone who understands how their mind works, their pace, how sometimes they wish they "could just..." (be content, let others handle it, slow down.) I am also passionate about real couples & relationships who are feeling disconnected, disrespected, lonely, frustrated. How can I love my partner & also hate them? How can I want to push someone away, & also want them closer? Why do I feel so lonely when I am never alone?

My Approach to Helping

I believe we experience "everyday grief" throughout our lives - when one chapter ends, an obstacle shows up in our path, we achieve something that gave us purpose & drive, we can get stuck, anxious, uncertain how to move forward. We may try to circumvent the necessary work of grieving what we have lost, what is no more, the idea of who you are/were/were going to be or how the relationship was/you hoped it would be. But if we do not grieve those losses, we cannot integrate those experiences into our lives & become the people we want to become now. And if we don't recognize, honor, validate & understand the losses we each experience, we cannot understand, hear, support or love the people closest to us. We will move into the storm, confront the challenges in your path, & work to accept what you cannot change by learning to change how you experience it. We will talk honestly & respectfully in relationships, and learn how to build more loving connections at home.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I continue to do the crucial work to recognize and honor my own marginalized identities, as well as to recognize how I experience the world from my places of privilege. What we can see on the outside never reflects the complexity of someone's lived experience, and I always come from a place of humility to allow clients to share their experiences, their identities and truths, rather than making assumptions based on what I know or see. That has happened to me personally too many times - assumptions have been made based on my appearance - and I know how invalidating, small and unseen it feels. I aim to always create space, safety and openness for all of my clients.
