As you explore, push boundaries, and learn who you are, there may be times when you feel anxious, overwhelmed, or sad. There is no one-size-fits-all meaning of "normal." You are unique, and it's perfectly fine to be yourself. Together, we can explore what "normal" means to you.
My Background and Approach
I am committed as a mental health therapist to providing a safe space for you. Whether you are neurotypical or neurodivergent. Having a previous 25-year career where I worked intricately with those with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, I understand the unique challenges of being neurodivergent in a neurotypical world. We can explore who you are and what you want out of life. To process through traumatic experiences and put you on a path to recovery if needed. A path that you drive. Through compassionate and empathetic listening, I seek to understand your experiences and explore ways that work for you to bring about the change you are seeking. With my support, you can learn new coping skills that work for you, find new meaning, gain self-confidence, and author a life story that brings great joy and happiness.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone is on a journey of change and growth throughout their lives. I advocate for equality and inclusion, stable housing, and opportunities for those who have experienced domestic violence or sexual assault. I work to bring awareness to others about being trauma-informed, child abuse prevention, equality, and diversity, and domestic and sexual violence prevention. I actively participate in association and government entity groups to decrease homelessness. I deeply believe that all humans are beautiful, unique, and valuable.
