About My Clients
Nitasha works with clients of all ages, including those who are neurodivergent, couples, families and individuals. She explores issues such as PTSD, depression, ADHD, discrimination, and anxiety while integrating cultural and narrative therapies informed by social justice and trauma awareness.
My Background and Approach
Nitasha Kang, LCAT, is a psychotherapist based in Brooklyn. Her clinical approach is rooted in a transformative and person-centered approach, incorporating talk therapy, group therapy, and art therapy to support healing and growth. Committed to building a strong therapeutic alliance, Nitasha creates a safe and inclusive environment where clients can explore, heal, and thrive. With a Master’s in Counseling and Art Therapy from Drexel University, she is dedicated to helping clients embrace self-care, self-love, and new ways of belonging and creative expression.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a therapist, I bring not only my clinical expertise but also a deep commitment to fostering spaces of belonging, authenticity, and social justice. I’m passionate about intersectionality, especially how race, body size, neurodivergence, and other identities shape our experiences and healing journeys. My own lived experiences as a neurodivergent individual, adoptee from India, and a person of color drive my dedication to this work. I’m actively involved in creating safe spaces for BIPOC clinicians to come together, heal, and support each other, and I led the Creative Art Therapist of Color group during my grad school years to build community and shared learning.
